SGFPD
Station
The current station is a combination of original 1981 construction plus
a 5000 square foot addition which was completed in October of 2001.
This addition included sleeping quarters, an additional 2000 square feet of apparatus
bay space, a state-of-the-art training room, a formal public entrance as well as
new administrative offices.

SGFPD Smoke House Training Facility
The SGFPD smoke-house facility is a 2100 square foot stand-alone facility
designed for simulated fire training. Construction was completed in 1996
at a minimal cost to the Fire District due to the generous donations of
skilled labor and materials by many local laborers and businesses including
Kukla Construction, Swederski Concrete and Thelen Sand & Gravel.
Smoke
Simulation Training
This
facility is frequently used to simulate smoky conditions for In-House
Firefighter training and Public Education Events in which local residents and school children can practice Public Fire
