- Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance Services
Illinois State Certified Paramedics staff our ambulances providing many Advanced Life Support skills including:
IV Fluid Therapy
Cardiac Monitoring
- Advanced Airway Control
- Cardiac Defibrillation
- Fire Suppression/Prevention
Illinois State Certified Firefighter II's, Firefighter III's, Fire Apparatus Engineers and Fire Officers staff our fire apparatus during fire suppression activities.
State Certified Fire Inspectors carry out scheduled inspections of businesses and inspections of residences upon request.
State certified Fire Instructors conduct hands-on training for all SGFPD firefighters on a monthly basis.
- Specialty Rescue and Safety Services
Specialty Services are available for specialized responses such as Hazardous Materials, Technical Rescue and Water Rescue. These services are available either within the department or via contract (Hazmat with Lake County, RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) with MABAS Division V).
