YOU to All the Spring Grove Firefighters Association Supporters!
The Spring Grove Firefighters Association (or SGFFA) is a non-profit
organization comprised of current and former members of the Spring Grove
Fire Protection District. The
Association serves to better the surrounding community in a variety of ways
through a mixture of fundraising and volunteer work.
In the past, the Association has awarded annual scholarships to
students looking to join the fields of Emergency Services or Healthcare.
The SGFFA has also assisted in purchasing numerous pieces of
firefighting and EMS equipment vital to the wellbeing of the community,
including heart monitors, powered ambulance cots, and an ATV capable of
fighting wildfires and retrieving patients from well off the beaten path.
Numerous charities from around the area have benefited from the
philanthropic efforts Association members as well, with thousands of dollars
being raised by selling Cure for Cancer t-shirts, cookbooks, and through
fundraisers such as the Association’s annual Steak Fry Dinner and Dance in
August of every year.
